CAVITE PNP ARRESTED 44 INDIVIDUALS IN DAILY ANTI-CRIMINALITY OPERATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MINIMUM HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite - Cavite Police Provincial Office arrested 16 on illegal drugs, 2 on wanted persons and 9 involved in various crimes in Daily Anti-Criminality Drive and 21 accosted individuals on Quarantine Violations over the last 24 hours.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, sixteen (16) drug personalities were arrested in 9 buy-bust operations in Bacoor City, Dasmariñas City, General Trias City, Cavite City, Tagaytay City, Imus City, General Aguinaldo and confiscated a total of 54 pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu, 1 piece tea bag containing dried leaves suspected as Marijuana, drug money and other drug paraphernalia. In the campaign against wanted persons, two (2) individuals were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime Attempted Homicide in Dasmariñas City and Estafa in Tanza, Cavite.

Six (6) other suspects were arrested for their involvement in various crimes such as Murder (shooting incident) in Bacoor City; Violation of RA 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) in General Trias City; Anti-Fencing Law in Bacoor City; Violation of RA 8484 (Access Device Law) in Tanza; Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to property in Rosario, Cavite; and Violation of RA 9268 (The Philippine Veterinary Medicine Act of 2004) On the other hand, twenty-one (21) Community Quarantine violators were recorded provincewide for not wearing Face Masks and for Violation of Curfew Hours.

The arrested suspects who committed criminal offense were apprised of their Constitutional Rights and documentation are being undertaken for filing appropriate charges against them before the Office of the City and/or Provincial Prosecutor. The Cavite PNP ensures the public that the campaign against all forms of illegal activities will continue as well as the Minimum Health Protocols will be strictly implemented. (Cavite PIO)

CAVITE POLICE ARRESTED 22 PERSONALITIES AND ACCOUNTED 54.6 GRAMS OF SHABU WORTH PHP 371, 280.00 IN AN OVERNIGHT INTENSIFIED ANTI-CRIMINALITY CAMPAIGN

Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City,Cavite- Police Colonel Marlon R Santos, OIC Cavite PPO reported to CALABARZON Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Vicente D Danao Jr. on the accomplishment of Cavite PNP in an overnight anti-criminality operations from January 28-29, 2020 that resulted in the arrest of 22 persons.

On the 7 police operation conducted against illegal drugs, 1 drug suspect died in an armed confrontation while 20 others were arrested and accounted a total of 54.6 grams of suspected shabu with street value of Php 371,280.00 pesos.

PCOL Marlon R Santos identified the drug suspect died in police operation as Roberto A. Fernandez, resident of Brgy San Roque, Antipolo, Rizal. Fernandez upon sensing that he is dealing with operatives who acted as poseur buyer, immediately drew his caliber 45 pistol and fired towards the operatives. An armed confrontation ensued that resulted to his instantaneus death. Operating Team from Provincial Intel Branch recovered more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu with street value of Php 300,000. 00 pesos, caliber 45 pistol, buy bust money and other drug paraphernalia.

On Most Wanted Persons, 7 suspects by virtue of warrant of arrest were taken into custody which include Top Most Wanted person in Dasmariñas City for the crime of Violation against RA 9165 otherwise known as Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 ranked as Number 1 in Manhunt Charlie List.

Other 6 wanted persons were arrested for the crimes of Unjust Vexation in Silang. Estafa in Gen Trias City, Violation of RA 7610 otherwise known as the Child Abuse Law, RA 9262 otherwise known as Violation against Women and Children in Rosario, Violation of RA 9165 and RA 9042 in Dasmariñas City.

Five other suspects were arrested thru warrantless arrest for the crimes of Theft in Cavite City, Robbery in Dasmarińas City, Theft in Kawit and Physical Injury in Dasmariñas City.

The arrested suspects were apprised of their Constitutional Rights provided in the Miranda Rule and R.A 9745 (Anti-Torture Act of 2009) and were brought to the stations to prepare the criminal charges for an Inquest Proceedings to be filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor. While pieces of evidence were brought to Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) for laboratory examination.
